Tamarindo weather in March

Tamarindo's microclimate means that there are certain guarantees when it comes to the weather in the area.

Located just nine degrees above the equator in a dry, tropical forest, extreme heat and constant sunshine are consistent throughout the year.

The only seasonal change in the weather comes in the form of the wet period, which falls across late April to October.

At this time of the year, heavy showers can be seen, usually in the evenings. However, as Tamarindo is one of the driest parts of Costa Rica, even during the wet season, rain should not overly disrupt your holiday.

For a guaranteed dry climate with minimal expectation of any rain though, the dry season is the time to come. March will also see the humidity drop, meaning you will be able to enjoy a much drier heat.

The temperature during this month is 29°C (84°F), reaching highs of 33°C (91°F) and dropping to lows of 24°C (75°F).

The average amount of rainfall is 6 mm over 3 days.

There are on average 8 hours of sunshine every day.

When the sun sets in Tamarindo, the resort comes alive! If the local nightlife is something you're interested in experiencing on your holiday, you won't be disappointed in Tamarindo with what you find.

There are plenty of nightclubs open that will keep you dancing until the early hours, that welcome tourists and locals alike. Or try your luck at one of the casinos. There are plenty of restaurants offering a variety of different cuisines for quieter evening, or just to help ensure your stomach is lined before you go out on the town.
